Scrap percentage pay rises
‘Help Plug the Gap’ ”
This very simple policy requires the assessment of what a job is ‘worth’ and moves us towards the interdependency of one for the other and is clearly moving towards equality, builds solidarity and improves democracy.
Not sure that I like the term ‘institutions of social democracy’ to include social groups. The adoption of this policy certainly will help in the creation and development of co-operatives.
Cost might be incurred in the process of evaluating existing roles/ professions etc.
There would be general support for a process that re-evaluates recompense for work more equally; perhaps not quite as much supportfrom high earners!
No polling evidence that I am aware of
I do not know
helping to move towards greater equality
Reduction in the gap between the ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’
sits with the agenda of personalisation of services: health, education, care
